Last month we made the decision to join the Northwest Chamber of Commerce, and it has been a lot of fun. As members, we were able to host a booth at the Northwest Chamber Fall Business Expo and it proved to be very productive.

As many of you know, I was hired to be the Marketing Coordinator for B2 (Bsquared), and I have been working toward getting us recognized around town through networking events, but I have to say that the Northwest Chamber has been my favorite resource. The rest of the crew here in the office do not have a chance to meet a lot of people like this so it was an exciting day for us all.

We all took turns manning our booth; explaining to people what we do, how we can help them or someone they know, and in some cases, how they might help us. While some of us stayed there, the rest of us walked around and introduced our company to other booths and, of course, picked up lots of fun goodies. There were quite a few vendors around the room, so we met a lot of people from the Chamber’s group, but also many people who were coming in to check out the free business expo. We picked up a handful of prospective new clients and met some people we might be able to do other business with.

The rest of our office crew got to see why I love this Chamber. Everyone is so much fun; there is a laid back professional business atmosphere with this group that allows us to be ourselves and have fun while we do real work. We had a great success at our first expo and we look forward to doing much more in the next year as we continue to grow our company.
